Inspired by maps of urban fabric and traditional Chinese landscape painting, the artist employs digital techniques to compose streets and buildings into a 22-second monochrome loop animation. This piece recreates the repetitive pulse of fast-paced urban life while transforming the city's texture into a vibrant rhythmic image. This work's choice of subject differs from the natural appearance of traditional landscape painting, boldly drawing inspiration from the urban environment. Using a monochromatic palette to reconstruct the aesthetics of traditional Chinese landscape painting, this work evokes the timeless artistic conception of classical ink landscapes.
This innovative perspective not only injects a new interpretation into Chinese cultural narratives but also presents an artistic exploration of the fusion between tradition and modernity.
